Goal: Use word of the day in normal conversion

Monday

Demure (Adjective)– Characterized by shyness and modesty; reserved.

Example: After JR Smith sub par shooting night, in his post-game interview he spoke with a demure attitude.


Tuesday

Matriculate (Verb)– To enroll as a member of a body and especially of a college or university

Example: The students at Columbia, matriculated through their first semester with high honors.



 

Wednesday

Hubris (Noun)- Excessive pride or self-confidence; arrogance.

Example: Mayweather’s extreme confidence in himself, is seen as a sign of hubris in the eyes of the world.


Thursday

Eudaimonia (Noun)– A contented state of being happy and healthy and prosperous

Example: In 2015, Eudaimonia, an idea of perfect well-being during Aristotle’s teachings, can be seen through the four pillars of life: Health, Wealth, Love and Happiness.


Friday

Deleterious (Adjective)– Injurious to health

Example: Steve ended up being rush to the hospital, after inhaling some deleterious gases during his science class.
